Irritation of the Skin

There are more than 40,000 products that contain latex including balloons, condoms, surgical and exam gloves, pacifiers, baby toys, elastic threads in undergarments and adhesive bandages. Irritation of skin caused by repeated exposure to the proteins found in latex products can cause various symptoms. These symptoms include:

• Skin rash
• Hives
• Irritated or watery eyes
• Swollen eyes
• Itching
• Difficulty breathing
