From 2001-2007, Vystar's operations were focused on the early stage research, development, testing and commercialization of patented new natural rubber latex, Vytex NRL. This revolutionary new raw material retains the positive qualities of natural rubber latex, yet its antigenic protein levels in products made with Vytex NRL are so low they are often "undetectable" by today's standard protein tests.

Today, Vystar is working with many manufacturers across a broad range of product categories bringing Vytex NRL to market, including surgical and exam gloves, condoms, adhesives, probe covers, natural rubber latex foam mattresses and sponges.

Vystar is a privately held specialty chemical company located in the Atlanta, GA metropolitan area. In 2007, Vystar was named one of the Top Ten Top Ten Innovative Technology Companies by the Technology Association of Georgia.
